1. First of Three
• Wednesday night's matchup with the Raiders will be the first of three-straight road games for the Golden Griffins. After the holiday, the Griffs will head to Rochester, Mich., to take on Oakland University for a Sunday evening contest, followed by a Wednesday night game in Albany, N.Y., with the University at Albany.

2. Atop the MAAC
• Junior Shannon Conely ranks first in the MAAC with a 52.8 percent field goal percentage and fourth with 16.3 points per contest. Senior Sara Hinriksdottir ranks inside the top five in rebounds per game (11.3), total rebounds (34), defensive rebounds per game (9.0), minutes played per game (42.1), field goal attempts (51), blocked shots per game (1.1) and double-doubles (2).

3. Double-Double the Fun
• Hinriksdottir became the first member of the Blue and Gold to record consecutive double-doubles since Marie Warner picked up five straight double-doubles at the tail end of the 2009 season. The Keflavic, Iceland, product tallied 14 points and 10 boards against the Bonnies and followed it up with a 13-point, 15-rebound day against UTRGV.

4. Schiefen's First Start since 2016-17
• It had been 727 days since senior Amanda Scheifen started a game for the Golden Griffins before being inserted into the lineup Saturday afternoon against UTRGV. The Horseheads, N.Y., native played a career-high 24 minutes and pulled down a personal-best eight rebounds against the Vaqueros.

5. In it till the end.
• Through three games this season the Blue and Gold haven't lost by more than six points and have had a chance to win each game with the clock winding down. In fact, in the season-opener against Miami (Ohio), the Griffs attempted a last-second three that would have tied the game, but it came up just short. The Blue and Gold then fought St. Bonaventure for 55 minutes in Olean, N.Y. before running out of gas. Against UTRGV, Canisius' attempt at a comeback stalled with an untimely turnover in the final minute of the game.
