Junior defender Thomas Teupen and freshman midfielder Melvin Blair of the Canisius College men's soccer team were both honored at the annual MAAC postseason banquet on Friday night. Teupen earned second-team all-conference accolades, while Blair was named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team.
The first defender in the program' history to collect all-conference honors on two occasions, Teupen also earned second-team accolades following his junior season. In 14 games during the 2015 season, Teupen netted one goal and helped anchor four shutouts for the Griffs on the defensive end.
In 49 career games with the Griffs, Teupen has registered six points on two goals and two assists, while anchoring a defensive unit with 16 clean sheets.

The freshman finished his season strong with 12 points in the final two regular season games to collect two National Player of the Week honors in addition to MAAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades.
In addition, 14 Griffs were honored for their work off the field by being named to the MAAC All-Academic Team – leading all schools in the conference.
