The Colorado Mammoth selected Canisius College standout DJ Giacobbo in the National Lacrosse League Draft on Monday night, choosing the defender with the 41st overall pick.

A member of the Griffs from 2010 to 2014, Giacobbo collected 54 ground balls, 17 caused turnovers and two assists during his career. A two-time team captain, he set personal bests during the 2014 campaign with 23 ground balls, eight caused turnovers and two assists in 15 games, helping lead Canisius back to the MAAC Tournament.

Giacobbo is set to join a Colorado roster that already features two former Canisius standouts in Dan Coates '11 and Adam Jones '11. Overall, four Griffs featured in the NLL during the 2014 season.
