The Canisius College men's soccer team lost its second-consecutive 1-0 game, falling to host Cornell on Sunday afternoon. The loss drops the Griffs to 0-4-0 on the season, while Cornell improves to 3-2-1.
Cornell scored the only goal of the game in the 33rd minute of play. Chase Aaronson found Tyler Regan to give the Big Red a 1-0 advantage.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kareem Gray once again played solid in net, keeping the Griffs in the contest. The sophomore recorded three saves to anchor the Canisius defense.
Cornell held a 10-5 advantage in shots and a 3-0 edge in corner kicks. Junior Sam Guibert and sophomore Sam Zarka each led the Griffs with two shots apiece. Cornell's Rick Pflasterer made two saves to earn the victory.
Canisius is back in action next Sunday, playing at Robert Morris.
