A four-year letterwinner who played 141 career games for the Griffs, Heidinger is the 13th former hockey player to be inducted into the Canisius Sports Hall of Fame.
Heidinger collected 132 career points during his playing career which spanned from 2006-10, a number that ranks fourth in the program's Division I history.
The Griffs' Division I era record holder with 95 career assists (fourth in program history overall), Heidinger shares both the Division I program record for assists in a season by a freshman (26) and assists in a game with four helpers against AIC on Feb. 21, 2010.
A 2006-07 Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie Team selection, Heidinger led Canisius in scoring in 2006-07 after he posted eight goals and 26 assists for 34 points.
The owner of 12 career power-play goals, Heidinger closed out his rookie campaign on Main Street by being voted the 2006-07 Canisius Male Rookie of the Year.
