Canisius University Athletics

2002: Was one of three Canisius players to play in all 116 games last season. Served as the team's primary setter and was credited with 1,142 assists, the third most in program history for a single season. Her 9.84 assists per game ranked her fourth in the conference. Had a season best 63 assists in a five-game loss to Loyola Oct. 12. Posted 50-plus assists three times (55 vs. Syracuse, 52 vs. St. Francis (Pa.) and 51 vs. Radford). Enters her final season ranked fourth all-time in career assists at Canisius. Served as a co-captain in her first year with the program.

Before Canisius: Played for two seasons at James Madison University as a defensive specialist. Was a member JMU's 2000 squad which won the Colonial Athletic Association championship and played in the NCAA Tournament. Played in 24 matches in 2001 and ranked fourth on the team with 166 digs. Dropped in 29 service aces for the Dukes while averaging 4.28 assists per contest. Won five varsity letters at Westhampton Beach High School. Was named the conference's Rookie of the Year as an eighth grader in 1996. Was also a three-time MVP in 1998, 1999 and 2000. Also won three varsity letters in soccer in high school.

Personal: The daughter of Judith and Patrick Reed, Jackie is an elementary education major with a concentration in mathematics. Enjoys biking and swimming in her free time. Has served as a volunteer with the Special Olympics and tutors elementary school aged children.
