Mohamed Diyani joined the Canisius coaching staff in the summer of 2017 and joins the staff after finishing his degree at Missouri Valley College, having played men’s volleyball for the Vikings.

In his senior season he was ranked No. 1 in hitting percentage in the Heart of America conference, boasting a .487 mark. His average of 1.7 blocks per set helped Missouri Valley College finish sixth in the nation. He ended the campaign with 131 kills and 80 blocks.

Diyani garnered national attention, earning the call from the Moroccan National Team to play in the U21 World Cup in Turkey and the U23 African Cup but was unable to attend due to his school schedule.
