Ja'Kye Womack is entering his second season as the Canisius women's basketball director of basketball operations.
In his role, Womack handles the team's travel, meals and day-to-day logistics, while also assisting in the planning and execution of team practice planning.
A former member of the Alfred football team, Womack assisted the women's basketball coaching staff with practices by serving as a practice player before joining the coaching staff ahead of the 2023-24 campaign. He traveled with the team for every road contest during the 2022-23 season and studied under former assistant coach Jared Zeidman to learn new coaching and basketball strategies.
Womack earned his undergraduate degree in sports management from Canisius in May 2023. He is currently working toward his master's degree in sport administration at the University.
