2006-07: Played in 10 games in a reserve role. Matched a career-high with seven points in Canisius' win over Rider Jan. 14. In that game, she saw a season-high 14 minutes of action where she went 3-for-4 from the floor and 1-for-2 from behind the 3-point arc. Had a season-high three rebounds in the team's home win over Saint Peter's Feb. 18. Shot 37.5 percent (3-for-8) from the field and 25 percent (1-for-4) from 3-point range. Was one of four Griffs to be named to the MAAC All-Academic Team, an honor she received for the second-straight season.

2005-06: Played in a career-high 20 games. Averaged 1.8 points and one rebound per game, playing in a reserve roll. Scored a career-high seven points in Canisius' loss at Loyola Jan. 26, then matched that mark against Manhattan at home Feb. 3. Pulled down a career-high four rebounds at home against Rider Feb. 19, in a game where she played a career best 24 minutes. Had three assists at home against Cornell Nov. 23. Shot 37.5 percent (12-for-32) from the field and 57.1 percent (8-for-14) from the charity stripe. Averaged 10.1 minutes per game. Was one of eight Canisius women's basketball players to be named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.

2004-05: Played in eight games as a freshman. Scored a career-high six points in nine minutes of action in the Griffs' win over Buffalo Dec. 18, at home. Shot 40 percent from the floor (4-for-10) and 37.5 percent (3-for-8) from behind the three-point line.

Before Canisius: Played five years of basketball at Northern High School. Was a three-time team MVP and team captain. Named first team all-city in 2001, 2002 and 2003. Was chosen as an all-tournament player in 2002. Helped lead her team to the OFSAA finals in 2004. Also played volleyball and was a member of the school's track and field team. Played middle for the Vikings' volleyball team, where she was a team captain in 2002. Went to the Ontario OFSAA Track and Field Championships four times and won a total of five medals.

Personal: The daughter of Dan and Roben Thorner, Katie is a physical education major at Canisius. Has one younger brother, Joe. Lists working out, listening to music and watching movies as her hobbies.
