Biography
Junior Season: Finished the season with a career-high 66 three-point field goals en route to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's Long Distance Shoot-Out Award winner. Averaged 13.2 points per game in 2001-02. Scored in double figures in 14 of the team's last 16 games, where she averaged 16.5 points per game during those contests. Had a season-high 25 points and a career best eight rebounds in Canisius' 93-77 win over Mt. St. Mary's Dec. 2.
Sophomore Season: Averaged 10.6 points per game. Led the team in scoring four different times. Scored her career-high 30 points in a loss to St. Bonaventure Nov. 28. Hit 44 three-point field goals. Led the team by shooting 77.5 percent from the free-throw line. Scored in double digits 13 times. Started 23 games.
Freshman Season: After suffering a stress fracture in her foot at the start of the season, Knapic saw action in 19 games in her rookie season as a Griff. Averaged 3.9 points and 2.1 rebounds per contest. Led the Griffs in scoring with a then career-high 18 points against Marist College Feb. 27. Added 12 points and a blocked shot in Canisius' win over Loyola Feb. 14.
Before Canisius: Was named second team all-state her senior season. Was also named the Player of the Year by the Altoona Mirror.
Personal: The daughter of Doug and Debbie Knapic, Jill is a physical education major with a minor in sports psychology
