Notes: A physical player, Richards adds valuable depth to the Griffs' frontcourt.

2004-2005: Played in 12 games, making four starts. Scored a season-high three points in the team's season opening loss to St. John's. Pulled down a total of 16 rebounds as a junior, highlighted by a career-high six boards in the team's game against St. Bonaventure Nov. 21. Played a season-high 12 minutes in the Griffs' win over Cornell Nov. 29. Was one of four players named to the MAAC All-Academic Team. For the second consecutive year, Richards served as one of the women's basketball team representatives on the Canisius College Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

2003-2004: Played in 18 games and averaged 1.9 points per game. Scored her first collegiate points in a Canisius win at St. Francis (Pa.) Dec. 16. Had a career-high 10 points after going 2-for-2 from the floor and 6-for-7 from the free-throw line in a win at Fairfield Feb. 14. Shot 52.9 percent from the field (9-for-17) and 77.3 percent from the free-throw line (17-for-22). Averaged 1.2 rebounds per game. Pulled down a season-high three boards in two different games (home against Colgate and at Fairfield). Missed four games from Jan. 16-26, after suffering a concussion and broken nose against Saint Peter's at home Jan. 11.

2002-2003: Missed the entire season after suffering a knee injury in preseason practice.

Before Canisius: Won three varsity letters as the forward on the Pine-Richland High School basketball team. Was a team captain and team MVP for the 2001-02 season. Was a four-time scholar-athlete, and was awarded the U.S. Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete Award in 2002? Was twice selected to the Beaver County Times All-Section team. Was chosen as a Player to Watch by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette four times. Also lettered twice in volleyball as a middle hitter and was named the Freshman Player of the Month in March 1999.

Personal: The daughter of Paul and Beth Richards, Jackie is a physical education major. Has two sisters, Erica and Kelly. Lists The Clarks as her favorite band. Serves at various summer basketball camps as a counselor.
