Jen Gwin

Jen Gwin is in her second season with the Golden Griffins after joining the Canisius College women’s basketball coaching staff in April 2008. Gwin helps with the coaching of the team's guards, assists with recruiting, game scheduling, scouting and compliance while serving as camp director for the team's individual camp. Gwin also oversees the male practice players and the team managers.

Gwin spent the 2007-08 season as an assistant coach at Saint Francis University (Pa.) where she helped with the Red Flash's guard development, recruiting and other administrative duties. Gwin also served the program’s strength and conditioning coordinator, prepared scouting reports and organized the team’s operations.

A 2006 graduate of Gannon University, Gwin was a student assistant coach for the Golden Knights after she played four seasons for Gannon. As a student assistant, Gwin helped with practice planning, recruiting, scouting and guard development.

During her playing career at Gannon, the Marietta, Ohio native was a three-time Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection, which included two first-team selections. A two-time GLIAC All-Defensive Team selection, Gwin is a member of the 1,000-point club and left as the program’s all-time leader in assists. The 2002 GLIAC Freshman of the Year, Gwin also earned GLIAC All-Academic honors three times.

Gwin graduated as a double major, earning a B.S. in finance with a minor in marketing, as well as a B.S. in management with a minor in human resources. She will complete her Master's in Sport Administration from Canisius College in May 2010.
