Dani Hopkins enters her first season as the director of basketball operations with the Canisius women's basketball program.
In her role, Hopkins handles the team's travel, meals and day-to-day logistics, while also assisting in the planning and execution of team practices.
Hopkins was named as a graduate assistant with the Baylor women's basketball program under head coach Nicki Collen. She utilized coding programs to created advanced scouting reports on opponents. Hopkins also organized recruiting visits and daily practices. She helped the Bears' clinched berths into the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament in 2023 and 2024, reaching the second round both times. Overall, the Bears' went 54-16 (27-9, Big 12) during Hopkins' stint.
Hopkins earned her undergraduate degrees in exercise science and creativity and innovation in 2023 from Cornerstone University. During her undergraduate career, she served as the head student assistant with the men's basketball program at Cornerstone, helping to organize travels plans and practices. Hopkins also aided in creating content and managing the social media platforms for the Golden Eagles.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Dani earned her masters degree in sport management from Baylor.
