Roman joined head coach Tiffany Swoffard's staff after spending the previous six years at Penn State, highlighted by a two-year stint as the Nittany Lions' graduate assistant. During her time at Penn State, the program saw tremendous growth, capped off by the 2023-24 Nittany Lions team that posted the program's first 20-win season since 2016-17, a WBIT berth and an appearance in the tournament's semifinal round.
As a graduate assistant, Roman assisted with opponent scouting, video and data analysis, oversight of undergraduate managers and player development. She worked daily with multiple student-athletes, including 2024 WNBA Draft pick Ashley Owusu. Roman assisted the program's recruiting coordinator with organization, creation of digital content and coordination of on-campus visits. She also handled the planning and execution of team travel, meals and day-to-day program logistics. As an undergraduate at Penn State, Roman was a team manager for four years, helping the team with practices and daily logistical tasks.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Roman graduated from Penn State with her bachelor's degree in elementary and early childhood education and her master's degree in educational leadership.
