Amber Moore

Former University of Illinois star Amber Moore enters her first season as a member of the Canisius women's basketball bench.

Moore was a former member the University of Illinois women’s basketball team, where she was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman First-Team in 2010 and All-Big Ten Honorable mention in 2014.
 
During her time with the Illini, Moore set the school’s three-point record with 295 and, as a member of the 1,000-point club, sits at 13th in career scoring.
 
After the conclusion of her colligate career, Amber played two seasons of international basketball in both Finland and Slovakia, before returning to the United States to become an assistant coach at Division II Saint Leo University. While with the Lions, she assisted with player workouts, academic advisement fundraising, recruiting and scouting. Her efforts in Florida earned her a spot on the WBCA Thirty Coaches Under 30 list in 2018.
 
After two seasons with Saint Leo’s, Moore took her talents to Houston, Texas, where she became a member of the Houston Baptist coaching staff, where she was primarily responsible for scheduling games and recruiting.
 
The Detroit, Mich. native earned her bachelor’s degree in applied health sciences in 2014 and obtained her MBA in sports business from Saint Leo’s University in 2019.
