Jake Janicki is in his third year as assistant athletic trainer at Canisius, serving as the primary trainer for the Golden Griffin men’s basketball and men’s soccer teams.

Janicki joined the Griffs after spending a year as an athletic training intern for the Western Michigan University football team. In addition to providing assistance for the football program, he also helped with event coverage for the Broncos women’s basketball, women’s volleyball and women’s tennis teams.

Prior to his time at Western Michigan, Janicki served as a graduate assistant at the University of Utah, leading the training efforts for the men’s and women’s swimming diving programs. He also worked us an undergraduate student during his time at Indiana University.

Janicki earned his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Indiana in 2011 before completing his master’s in exercise and sport science/sport medicine from Utah in 2013.
