Paul Andary is in his second season at Canisius as an assistant athletic trainer. He serves as the head trainer for the Golden Griffins' hockey and rowing programs.
Andary joined the Griffs after working as a resident athletic trainer at the University of Maryland for four months. During his tenure with the Terrapins, Andary served as the trainer for Maryland's men's lacrosse and track and field programs. In addition, he served as the primary COVID-19 case manager and contact tracer for the department while also aiding in helping COVID positive athletes with return-to-play measures during his time in College Park.
Prior to Maryland, Andary spent 10 months as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. At Lindenwood, Andary worked as the primary trainer for the Lions' American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division I club men's ice hockey team, while also assisting with the development of Lindenwood's new athletic training room for ice hockey.
Following his graduation from Michigan State in 2018 with a degree in athletic training/kinesiology, Andary worked as a certified athletic trainer for Butler University in Indianapolis. He assisted the football and men's basketball head athletic trainer in day-to-day operations, while also functioning as the head trainer for the Bulldogs' women's swim team.
Andary is currently pursuing his MBA in sport management from Lindenwood University.
