Biography

One of three team captains.

2002-03: Placed second on the team in assists with 15 and third in points with 20... Led the Griffs with 109 penalty minutes and 93 shots on goal... Posted a three-point effort with a goal and two assists against Bentley (11/22)... Scored game-winning goal in Griffs’ 4-0 shutout of Bentley (11/22)... Was the team’s top faceoff man with a .587 winning percentage (279-of-475).

2001-02: Tied for 17th in the MAAC in points (30) and ninth in goals scored (15)... Scored a team-high 15 goals and finished second on the team in points... Registered 42 penalty minutes in 34 games played... Tied for team-best in power-play goals with two... Scored game-winning goal in Griffs' 4-3 overtime win against Army (2/2)... Recorded eight multi-
point games, including a career-best four-point night vs. Connecticut (2/16).

2000-01: Led all freshmen in scoring with 19 points (8G, 11A)... Tallied three power-play goals... Notched first career point, an assist, against Holy Cross (10/28)... Scored first collegiate goal in 3-2 win over AIC (11/18).

Before Canisius: Registered 43 points (17G, 26A) and 75 penalty minutes in 44 games as assistant captain of the Milton Merchants of the OPJHL... Played two seasons with Port Hope in the OPJHL, earning 1996 MJHL Rookie All-Star Game MVP honors... Attended Dunbarton High School.

Personal: Rob, the son of Hal and Sue Martin, is a physical education major... Has two older siblings, Adam and Stephanie.
