Biography

2004-05: Tied for the team-lead in points with 22... Played in all 35 games... Scored first collegiate goal in 2-1 loss to Massachusetts at the Nye Frontier Classic (10/16)... Posted three multi-point games, including a career-high three-point game in 5-2 win over Army (3/5)... Led team with 83 shots on goal... Tied for second on the team in assists (13) and penalty minutes (55) and third in goals (9)... Notched the game-winning goal in 5-2 win over Army (3/5)... Named Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Week on March 7 after tallying a pair of goals and a pair of assists in sweep of Army... Ranked 33rd in the nation in points-per-game by rookies with 0.63... Ranked 5th in freshman scoring, 24th in points, 24th in goals and 27th in assists.

Before Canisius: With the Cleveland Barons, Roberto was the NAHL’s leading scorer in 2003-04 with 39 goals and 33 assists for 72 points in 56 games... Also led the league with 18 power-play goals... Named First Team All-Star and Barons’ Most Valuable Player... Also played three seasons for the Oakville Blades of the OPJHL, earning MVP honors all three years.

Personal: Mike, a communications major at Canisius, is the son of Bruno and Cathy Ruberto... Twin brother Matt is a defenseman on the team... Uncle George Beveridge was drafted by the Minnesota North Stars.
