2004-05: Posted three multi-point games of two assists... Scored first collegiate goal, a game-winner, in 2-1 victory over Quinnipiac (2/18)... Notched a power-play goal in 5-2 win over Army (3/5)... Recorded a +7 rating, ranking second on the team... Ranked 16th in Atlantic Hockey in defenseman scoring and 17th in freshman scoring.

Before Canisius: As a member of the Cleveland Barons, Ruberto led the team’s defensemen with five goals and 26 assists for 31 points in 54 games... Recorded 174 penalty minutes last season.

Personal: Matt, a communications major at Canisius, is the son of Bruno and Cathy Ruberto... Twin brother Mike is a forward on the team... Uncle George Beveridge was drafted by the Minnesota North Stars.
