Biography

2003-04: Led the team with 107 penalty minutes, the second straight season with over 100 minutes in penalties... Recorded a season-high 15 penalty minutes in a 2-2 draw with UMass Lowell (10/25)... Posted four assists and a +1 rating in 28 games played.

2002-03: Scored first collegiate goal in Griffs’ 6-3 loss to Quinnipiac (10/25)... Recorded back-to-back multi-point games against Fairfield and Sacred Heart (2/7 and 2/8)... Set a new Canisius single-game record for penalty minutes by a forward with 26 against Niagara (1/25)... Registered 104 penalty minutes in 29 games played.

Before Canisius: Played four seasons for the Wexford Raiders, the 2001-02 Southern Conference champions of the OPJHL... Scored 17 goals and totaled 34 points in 36 conference games en route to being named a Provincial Jr. "A" All Star... Attended Malvern Collegiate, playing football and earning Most Valuable Player honors after senior season of 2000.

Personal: Jon, a business major at Canisius, is the son of Bob and Colleen Durno... Brother Chris is a three-year letter winner and senior center for Michigan Tech in the WCHA... Also has a younger sister, Shannon.
