Canisius University Athletics

Sean Schmidt is in his second season with the Canisius College hockey program as the team's equipment manager. Schmidt joined the Golden Griffins after spending four years as a student equipment manager at Ferris State.

While at Ferris State, Schmidt worked closely with the Division II football team and Division I hockey team as an equipment manager. He also worked as an on-ice instructor with the Big Rapids Area Junior Hockey Association (BRAJA).

Schmidt earned his bachelor's degree from Ferris State in recreation leadership and management with a concentration in sport management. While at Canisius, he is pursuing a master's degree in sports administration. Schmidt also works as a supervisor in the Koessler Athletic Center equipment room.
