Jack Markwardt is in his second season as the equipment manager. Markwardt is responsible for all equipment with the hockey program, assists with the team’s purchasing and helps opponents with any game day needs.

Markwardt also spent the summer of 2013 working with the NFL’s Buffalo Bills in their equipment room.

A native of Hamburg, N.Y., Markwardt joined the Griffs after spending two years with the Fredonia State hockey team as an undergraduate manager. Among his responsibilities with the Blue Devils, Markwardt maintained all equipment for the hockey team, prepared the squad’s locker rooms and bench on game days and managed the program’s social media accounts.

Markwardt earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Fredonia in 2012. He is currently pursuing his master’s in sport administration from Canisius.
