Seymour returns to join head coach Brian Cavanaugh behind the Canisius bench for his fourth season as assistant coach. Seymour's coaching responsibilities include on-ice instruction with the forwards, scouting the upcoming opposition, and academic monitoring of the student-athletes. He also serves as the academic counselor for the athletic department at Canisius. Seymour graduated with a bachelor's degree in physical education in 1996 and was a three-year letter winner for the Canisius hockey team. Seymour played 72 games, tallied 30 goals and 53 assists and was named ECAC West Rookie of the Year in 1994. Seymour earned his master's degree in education from Canisius in 1998. Currently, he also serves as the Academic/Vocational Counselor for Athletics at Canisius in addition to his coaching responsibilities. Seymour helps oversee and monitor the academic progress of over 500 student-athletes at Canisius in conjunction with the head coaches of their respective programs. He will also help manage Canisius' G.R.I.F.F.S./Life Skills program. Seymour has been the assistant director of admissions/vocational counselor at Canisius since 1998 and has served as the director of the freshman leadership program since 1996. Clancy is single and resides in Buffalo.
