Biography

2003: Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team... Led the Griffs in hitting (.281) and pitching (4.81)... Started all 43 games, including five on the mound... Hit third in the lineup in all 43 games... Tallied 10 multiple-hit and six multiple-RBI games... Ranked first on the team in doubles (11), hits (43) and total bases (62)... Ranked second in slugging percentage (.405), on-base percentage (.355) and RBI (21)... Went 7-for-12 with four RBI and five runs in series against Marist... Was 5-for-9 with three runs and two RBI in series against Saint Peter’s... Started five games on the mound and pitched 33.2 innings... Struck out 17 and tossed two complete games... Gave up two earned runs and three hits in a complete game against Buffalo (4/9).

Before Canisius: Transfer from Montreat (N.C.) where he hit .374 and stole 10 bases in 2002... Made the Distinguished Scholar’s List with a 3.90 GPA.

Personal: The son of Arvinder Padda, Harpreet is a finance major at Canisius.
