Biography

2004-05: Posted career-highs in goals (10), assists (11), points (21), and power-play goals (4) in most productive season as a Griff... Recorded five multi-point games, including a career-high, three-point effort in a 6-0 win over American International (2/4)... Ranked second on the team in points, goals, and power-play goals... Scored game-winning goals in 3-1 win over Robert Morris (10/23) and 6-0 win over American International (2/4)... Ranked 15th in the league in game-winning goals, 17th in power-play goals, 19th in goals and 28th in the league in points.

2003-04: Tallied five goals and added 10 assists for 15 points in 24 games... Recorded four multi-point games, including a career-high three-point night in 6-3 loss to Niagara (1/22)... Scored game-winning goal in 3-0 victory over Quinnipiac (1/9)... Posted two power-play goals.

2002-03: Scored four goals and added seven assists to finish with 11 points in freshman campaign... Tallied first collegiate goal, the overtime game-winner, in 3-2 win over Sacred Heart (11/3)... Also scored game-winner in Griffs’ 3-1 win over Connecticut (11/8)... Posted two-power-play goals and recorded 48 shots on goal.

Before Canisius: Played for the New York Apple Core of the EJHL, leading his team in scoring for the past five season... Scored 104 points, including 69 assists, in 86 games to take the Apple Core to a second place finish in 2001-02... Finished in the top 10 in scoring with 51 points in league games... Attended Champlain Valley Union SS.

Personal: The son of Louise and Mike Dawe, Andrew is a finance major at Canisius... Has an older sister, Erin, who played tennis at Radford... Cousin of Jason Dawe, a 1991 second-round draft pick of the Buffalo Sabres... Father Mike played defense for the Cornell University ice hockey team, while mother Louise was U.S. Champion in figure skating at the World University Games.
