BEFORE CANISIUS
• Spent parts of four seasons in the OJHL, the majority of it with the Oakville Blades (2017-21)
• Tallied 46 goals and 35 assists for 81 points in 103 career regular-season games
• Added eight points (4g, 4a) in 18 playoff games with the Blades
• Helped Oakville enjoy a record-settting 2018-19 campaign that saw the Blades set a franchise record for wins, capture both the OJHL and the Dudley-Hewitt Cups and advance to the semifinals of the National Jr. A Hockey Championship

• Son of Bryan and Jill McDermott
• Has one brother, Logan, and one sister, Brynley
• Sister, Brynley, is a member of the women's track and field program at the University of Iowa
• Grandfather, Paul Henderson, played more than 1,000 games during 18 seasons between the National Hockey League and World Hockey Association.
• Elected into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2012-13, Henderson is best known for scoring the series-winning goal in the final game of the 1972 Summit Series between Canada and the Soviet Union
