Canisius University Athletics

Notes: Joins the team after playing two seasons at Mineral Area College... Has a scorer's mentality.... Will be a great compliment to Frank Turner in the backcourt.  

Before Canisius: Earned third-team NJCAA All-America honors as a sophomore at Mineral Area College after averaging 15.1 points, 2.4 assists and two steals a game... Tallied 10 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists as a freshman... Named all-conference and all-region both seasons... Named first-team all-state as a junior and senior at Portageville High School... Posted 20 points, five assists, four rebounds and five steals a game as a senior and led the Bulldogs to a District Championship and a 22-6 record... Named Bootheel Conference Player of the Year Class 3 first-team all-region and the Standard Democrat Player of the Year.  

Personal: The son of Gloria Hassell and Vincent Young... Has three sisters, Constance, Janetta and Iesha and a brother, Justin... Majoring in physical education.
