Jasper Torres is starting his second season on the Canisius men's basketball support staff after spending the previous four years (2019-23) as a student manager with the Golden Griffins.
In his role, Torres is responsible for assisting head coach Jim Christian and the team's coaching staff with all day-to-day operations of the program. He is responsible for team travel and meals, practice set-up and breakdown, team video exchange, equipment and he also supervises the program's student managers.
In addition to his time as a student manager during his undergraduate days at Canisius, Torres also worked with the University's athletic facilities staff where he helped with setting up and breaking down for all home sporting events, while also serving as the scoreboard operator for home volleyball and softball games.
Torres graduated from Canisius in May 2023 with his degree in sport management. He is currently working toward his master's degree in sport administration at Canisius.
