Brandon Brown is in his first year as a graduate assistant on the Canisius athletic performance staff. In his role, Brown works exclusively with the Golden Griffin men's and women's basketball programs, where he is responsible for the development and execution of both teams' strength and conditioning efforts.
Brown joins the Canisius staff after spending the 2023-24 year working on the strength and conditioning staff at William & Mary College in Williamsburg, Va. There, he was responsible for preparing, executing and managing all strength and conditioning efforts with various programs in the Tribe athletic department. In July 2020, he created BSE Performance Coaching, a private performance center in Williamsburg, Va., where he worked developed and executed strength and conditioning programs for athletes at all levels, with the primary focus based on basketball players.
From 2022-23, Brown was the assistant player development coach for the Williamsburg Triangle Shooters, a semi-pro basketball team based in Virginia. In addition to his role developing the team's players off the court, Brown also assisted with in-game planning and strategy and helped plan travel arrangements for the team.
A 2007 graduate of Virginia State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with his degree in physical education and recreation, Brown is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strenth and Conditioning Association and he is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
