Notes: Has tremendous athletic ability and is exciting to watch... One of four returning starters for the Griffs... With 627 career points, he needs a big year to go over 1,000; if he does, three Griffs will likely net 1,000 career points this season.

2001-02: Named team MVP... Named to azcentral.com Classic All-Tournament Team... Made one of the most memorable shots in recent Canisius history when he netted a running one-hander off a spin move with two seconds left in overtime to give the Griffs an 85-84 victory over Rider in the MAAC Tournament... Led Canisius in scoring (10.8 ppg) and second in rebounding (5.4 rpg)... Led the Griffs in scoring in 10 games; led the team in rebounding in seven contests... Scored a career-high 21 points and added seven rebounds against Louisiana-Lafayette... Netted 18 points vs. Fairfield (1/3)... Tallied 15 points and seven rebounds at St. Joseph’s... Posted 13 points and 11 rebounds at Marist (2/11)... Had 16 points and 10 rebounds at Niagara (2/23)... Tallied 17 points and seven boards vs. Loyola in the MAAC Tourney... Scored in double figures in 19 games.

2000-01: Played in 26 games and averaged 6.9 points per contest... Shot 70 percent from the charity stripe (28-for-40)... Shot 38.9 percent from three-point land... Averaged 3.3 rebounds per game and 18.6 minutes a contest... Had six double-figure scoring efforts... Scored a career-high 18 points vs. Siena in the MAAC Tournament semifinal; tallied that mark (4-of-5 treys) earlier in the year against Saint Peter’s (1/3)... Posted a career-best eight rebounds in three games, including the MAAC Championship vs. Iona; also had nine points... Scored 16 points and dropped in 4-of-6 three-pointers in 22 minutes at Rider (12/10)... Tallied 10 points and eight rebounds at Loyola (1/27)... Dished out four assists to go with 16 points at Rider (12/10).

1999-00: Averaged five points a game, while shooting 44.6 percent from the field... Played in 25 contests, averaging 13.6 minutes a game... Missed first three games with bulging disc in back and missed Rider contest with sprained ankle... Had season-best 16 points (7-of-8 from the field) in win over Marist (1/12) and nine rebounds against Manhattan (added 10 points)... Named MAAC Rookie of the Week following that performance... Had three assists and four steals in overtime loss versus Siena (1/29)... Also had four thefts against Rider (2/13)... Registered five double-digit scoring efforts... Connected on 23 of his last 46 field goal attempts... Had nine points and six rebounds vs. Rider (2/13)... Netted 11 points at Manhattan (2/18) and in MAAC Tournament against Siena (3/4).

Before Canisius: Player of the Year in the Yale Cup and first-team All-Western New York as a senior... Averaged 28.7 points and 13.1 rebounds for McKinley, which finished the season with an 18-4 record... Third-team all-Western New York pick as a junior when he averaged 21 points... McKinley was 51-16 in Hodari’s three years on the team... Career highs of 42 points and 23 rebounds... Also averaged 5.2 assists and 4.7 steals.

Personal: The son of Willene Martin, Hodari is a communications major at Canisius... Has a younger brother, Yahsokere (10)... Former McKinley High School stars who have attended Canisius include Ray Hall, who is the Griffs all-time leading scorer, Ed Book, who ranks ninth in career scoring and Hall of Famer Bob MacKinnon, who played and coached at Canisius before heading off to the NBA.
