2024-25 • JUNIOR SEASON
Game-by-Game Statistics
• Played in 27 games and made eight starts. Made all eight of those starts in the team’s final 10 games of the season.
• Averaged 4.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, 0.5 blocks and 0.4 assists per game.
• Scored in double-figures four times, highlighted by his career-high 17-point performance in a road loss at Niagara Feb. 12.
• Made his debut with the program Nov. 4 at nationally-ranked Arizona where he scored two points and grabbed a rebound.
• Scored 10 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out three assists at Sacred Heart Jan. 5.
• Made his first collegiate start at Quinnipiac Feb. 6.
• Averaged 5.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game in 17 conference games.
• Made 12 of his 13 3-point field goals on the season against league opponents, highlighted by a career-high four makes from behind the arc at Niagara on Feb. 12.
• Shot 44.3 percent (47-for-106) from the field and 43.3 percent (13-for-30) from 3-point range.
• Grabbed a career-high six rebounds two times, including at Merrimack on Feb. 8. Led the team in rebounding five times.
• Registered a career-best four blocked shots in a home loss to Iona on March 2.
• Averaged 14.8 minutes per game. Played a career-high 32 minutes in the team’s regular-season finale at Saint Peter’s March 8.
BEFORE CANISIUS
• Joins the program after spending the 2023-24 season at UMass. He did not participate in any games for the Minutemen.
• Started his college career at Boston College during the 2021-22 season. There, he played in 19 games where he averaged 1.3 points and 1.0 rebounds per contest.
• While at Boston College, he was recruited by, and played for, current Canisius head coach Jim Christian.
• Was rated as a four-star recruit and the 116th-best player in the nation by 247Sports.com during his senior year at Brimmer and May School in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
• In addition to being the top-rated recruit in the state of Massachusetts after the 2020-21 scholastic season, ESPN.com rated him as the 33rd-best forward in the country.
• As a junior at Brimmer and May, he averaged 19.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game en route to being named an All-NEPSAC Class AA selection.
• On the AAU circuit, Thompson played with the Mass Rivals, one of the top AAU programs in the country.
