In his fourth season with the Golden Griffins and first as a full-time assistant coach is Mike Trzybinski. He will be responsible for recruiting, on-floor coaching and scouting as well as coordinating the team's travel and film exchange.

Trzybinski spent three seasons as the Griffs' director of basketball operations. In that role, he ran the summer basketball camp and assisted with the film exchange program and travel coordination. He also served as the staff liaison to the Cage Club and assisted in scouting and game and practice preparation.

He recently served as an assistant coach on the Western Open Team at the 2003 Empire State Games, hosted by Canisius. Trzybinski has worked numerous camps around the country, including the Eastern Invitational Camp, the Five Star Camp, the University of North Carolina Camp and the West Virginia University Camp. He has also served as an assistant coach at St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute in Buffalo and West Seneca East High School.

Before coming to Canisius, Trzybinski was a teacher at St. Joseph's for six years. He earned his bachelor's degree from Buffalo State in 1999 and his master's degree from Ball State in 2005.

Mike, and his wife, Laura, the Canisius head swimming and diving coach, reside in Tonawanda.
