Biography

Notes: Smooth and steady with good shooting touch... Has developed into a good long-distance shooter... Uses size and athleticism to get to the basket... Will likely be more of a shooting guard this year... Has started the last 60 contests... Needs 297 points to reach 1,000, 87 rebounds to reach 500 and 60 assists to reach 300.

2005-06: Named MAAC All-Academic... Averaged 10 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists... Started all 29 games... Shot 37 percent from the field and 34.8 percent from 3-point range... Ranked 11th in the MAAC in assists, ninth in steals, ninth in assist to turnover ratio and 15th in 3-pointers made a contest (1.62)... Scored in double figures in 16 games and had one double-double... Scored 20 or more points twice... Led Canisius in scoring in four games, rebounding eight times and assists in 11 contests... Had a tough start to the season.... In the first five games, averaged 5.8 points and shot 22 percent from the field (11-for-50) and 15.4 percent from 3-point range (4-for-26)... In the last 24 games, averaged 11.4 points and shot 40.3 percent from the field (79-for-196) and 40.2 percent from 3-point range (43-for-107)... Had 15 points and six rebounds vs. Siena (12/11)... Posted 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists at Detroit... Tallied 16 points and five rebounds at West Virginia... Had 19 points and nine rebounds at Fairfield (1/7)... 2004-05: Named MAAC All-Academic... Ranked 11th in the MAAC and second on the team in rebounding (5.9/gm)... Ranked 12th in the league in assists (2.8/gm) and fourth in three-point shooting percentage (.402)... Started all 29 games, averaging 33.7 minutes a contest... Tallied 9.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists a game... Shot 40.4 percent from the field and 64.8 percent from the free-throw line... Posted three double-doubles... Registered double figures in scoring in 14 games and double figures in rebounding in five contests... Led the team in scoring in two games, rebounding in six contests and assists in eight tilts... Tallied 12 points and 10 rebounds against Howard... Posted 15 points and five rebounds at Eastern Michigan... Scored 15 points against Columbia... Had 12 points and 10 boards vs. Iona (1/10)... Tallied a season-high 13 rebounds vs. Marist (2/7)... Posted 18 points and six rebounds at Saint Peter’s (2/11)... Had 13 points and 10 boards at Niagara (2/16)... Netted 17 points at Marist (2/26)... Tallied a career-high 20 points to go along with seven rebounds in the MAAC Tourney quarterfinals vs. Rider (3/5)... Really came on towards the end of the season, averaging 12.1 points and 6.8 rebounds over the last eight games.

2003-04: Played in all 30 games and started eight of the last nine... Averaged 4.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists a game... Scored in double figures in five contests... Posted 68 assists, tying for the second-most on the team... Ranked fifth on the team in rebounding... Shot 36.3 percent from the field, 32.4 percent from three-point range and 67.3 percent from the free-throw line... Had an assist to turnover ratio of +1.4 and averaged 1.2 steals a contest... Posted 10 points and six rebounds in his first career start against Manhattan (1/7)... Netted a career-high 11 points with six rebounds against Charleston (12/18)... Tallied 11 points and seven rebounds against Saint Peter’s (1/3)... Posted 11 points, eight assists and six rebounds against Saint Peter’s (2/19)... Collected 11 points and three rebounds at Niagara (2/29)... Had six points and five boards in 40 minutes of action at Fairfield (2/5).

Before Canisius: Posted 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists a contest at St. Martin DePorres High School under head coach Durand Shepherd as a senior... Named to the 2003 The Detroit News Scholar Athlete Team and earned all-state accolades... Also earned all-state academic honors and the team leadership award... Averaged 21 points a game at Southfield Lathrop as a junior... He earned all-state honors in the Class A division and was named all-league, all area and team MVP.

Personal: Majoring in digital media arts... Designed the 2005-06 men’s basketball media guide cover... The son of Bessie and Michael Harris... Has two siblings, Airrington and Michael.
