Biography

2003: Was hampered all season by a bad elbow and saw action in just eight games... Went 3-for-20 with a run, a double and an RBI from the plate... Made three appearances on the mound... Pitched five innings and struck out four.

2002: Started the season at shortstop, but was limited to just 24 games after an injury to his throwing arm... Hit .152 with three doubles and one home run... Made two appearances on the mound and struck out one batter in 1.1 innings pitched... Hit his second career home run versus Akron (4/10).

2001: Had 10 appearances on the mound, starting in three games... Also played the field in 24 games, starting 21 of them... Picked up first career save in win over Saint Peter’s (5/13)... Hit his first home run and stole his first base in win over Iona (3/24).

Before Canisius: Played volleyball, badminton, tennis and baseball in high school.

Personal: The son of Ron and Karen Lam, Rowan is a business major at Canisius.

Born: January 25, 1981, in Chatham, Ontario.
