Redshirted the 2003 season.

2002: Made 10 appearances and started five games on the mound... Threw two innings in relief at Rider (3/23) and struck out three batters... Had five strikeouts over 5.1 innings of work against Iona (4/20).

Before Canisius: Transfer from Bluefield State College in West Virginia... All-area outfielder at Clarkson Secondary School.

Personal: The son of Wellesley and Barbara Hood, Omar is a digital media arts major at Canisius... Cousin Jamaal Magloire plays for the New Orleans Hornets of the NBA.
