2005-06: Member of a number of the fastest relay efforts on the season, including the second-fastest times in the 400 freestyle (3:29.82) and 200 freestyle (1:32.50)... Had third-fastest time on the season in the 50 backstroke (29.43)...Took second in 100 backstroke at Grove City... Finished third in 50 and 100 freestyle against Niagara... Member of four first-place and four second-place relays

2004-05: Played baseball for the Griffs

Before Canisius: Earned four letters in swimming and baseball at St. Anthony’s... Named MVP and team captain for junior and senior seasons

Personal: The son of Barbara and Larry Havelis, Mike is a political science major at Canisius... Has two brothers, Craig and Matt, and a sister, Sue
