Biography

2006: MAAC All-Academic... Pitched 31.1 innings in six starts in an injury-plagued campaign... Struck out 33 and posted a 1-3 record on the mound... Allowed two earned runs in seven innings in the Griffs’ 12-4 win over Buffalo in the Big 4 Baseball Classic... Gave up four earned runs in his last four starts.

2005: Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team... Tied for the team lead in innings pitched with 61... Started 11 contests and tossed three complete games... Led the team with 50 strikeouts... Struck out 10 in a complete game victory over Saint Peter’s (4/9)... Struck out six in five innings against Le Moyne (3/26) and six in 5.1 innings against Marist (5/1).

2004: Pitched 5.1 innings in six appearances... Threw a scoreless inning at Le Moyne, striking out two (4/11).

Before Canisius: Three-time All-Monsignor Martin Association (2000-2003)... Also played football and basketball at Niagara Catholic.

Personal: The son of Pat and Joe Bax... Mike’s father, brother and sister attended Canisius... Majoring in biology.
