2004: Fourth on the team with 39.1 innings pitched and 23 strikeouts... Made 13 appearances, the second-most on the squad... Started two contests... Pitched 2.2 innings without allowing an earned run at Fairfield (4/3)... Tossed 2.2 innings without allowing an earned run vs. St. Bonaventure (4/27)... Started against Siena (5/3) and pitched eight innings, allowing three earned runs and striking out five... Gave up just one run in 3.1 innings at Niagara (5/20).

Before Canisius: Was all-area and all-league... selected league Pitcher of the Year in 2002... Team MVP in 2002.

Personal: The son of Robert and Ann Wheeler, Matt is a business major at Canisius.
