Tim Smith enters his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Golden Griffins. He is primarily responsible for the instruction of the pitching staff.
Smith was a pitcher for Canisius from 1995-97 and is tied for fifth in career victories (10) on the school's all-time list. He ranks fifth on the Griffs' single-season chart in wins (5) and ninth in strikeouts (44).
Smith graduated from Hamburg High School in 1993 and played a season for Elizabethtown College (Division III in Pennsylvania) before transferring to Canisius. He served as the pitching coach at Hilbert College in 1999.
Tim and his wife Mary, a 1997 Canisius graduate, live in Derby, N.Y.
