Biography

2005: Was named second-team All-MAAC after she played in a career-high 103 games. Her team-leading .349 attack percentage ranked second in the MAAC, while her 3.52 kills per game ranked 10th in the conference. Was named to the WNY Invitational All-Tournament Team after she hit .417 and averaged 4.29 kills per game in a four match span. Posted double-digit kills in 22 of 26 matches last season, closing out the year with 10-plus kills in 12-straight outings. Was credited with a career-high 27 kills in a win over Colgate at home. Collected 24 solo blocks and 63 block assists. Had four solo blocks and five block assists in a home win over MAAC rival Fairfield.

2004: Played in 95 games, where she ranked second on the team with a .229 hitting percentage. Led the squad with 97 total blocks, highlighted by a team-high 75 block assists. Was credited with a career-best seven block assists in the team's loss to Syracuse at home. Finished the year ranked second in the MAAC in blocks per game at 1.02 per contest. Registered double-digit kills in 14 matches and closed out the season with 10-plus kills in each of the team's last five matches. Had a season-high 16 kills in two separate matches (at Rider Nov. 6, and against Niagara Nov. 13).

2003: Became the first player in program history to be honored as the MAAC's Rookie of the Year. Played in 81 games in her rookie campaign. Collected double-digit kills 11 times. Had 18 kills against Cornell and Iona. Finished the year with 229 kills on 516 attack attempts. Her .285 hitting percentage (229-82-516) was tops on the team and ranked her sixth in the MAAC. Had 11 block solos and 51 block assists. Collected six blocks two different times (against Marshall and Iona).

Before Canisius: A four-time letterwinner in volleyball. Was named all-state after her senior season by the New York State Sportswriters and Coaches Organization for Girls' Sports. Named the Clarence High School volleyball Most Valuable Player in 2002. Won four varsity letters as a thrower on her high school track and field team. Played three years of varsity basketball and received the Coaches' Award after her senior season.

Personal: The daughter of Roland and Trina Boller, Mary is majoring in physical and health education at the College. Her grandfather Francis Conway also attended Canisius. Has two younger brothers, Roland and Troy.
