Biography

2009-10 • Senior Year
• Team captain.
• Appeared in 32 games, recording eight points, three goals and five assists.
• Played the first six games of the season on defense due to injuries.
• Netted his first collegiate game-winning goal in a 6-4 victory against Mercyhurst (Nov. 6).
• Added his second game-winner against Connecticut (Feb. 6).
• Also scored in a 7-6 overtime victory against Colgate (Dec 20).
• Registered an assist against Holy Cross (Oct. 24), Mercyhurst (Nov. 7), AIC (Nov. 20), Bentley (Dec. 5) and Army (Jan. 15).
• Led team with 131 penalty minutes, the most in the program's history.
• Named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team.

2008-09 • Junior Year
• Team captain.
• One of four players to appear in all 37 games.
• Recorded a career-best 11 points on two goals and nine assists.
• Key member of the penalty kill unit that set a school record with 38-consecutive power plays killed from Oct. 31 to Nov. 22.
• Scored goals against Niagara (Nov. 11) and Bentley (Jan. 9).
• Posted the primary assist on the game-winning goal in overtime against Clarkson, helping the Griffs to their first victory against an ECAC school (Nov. 28).
• Also registered an assist the following night in a 2-2 draw against the Golden Knights, recording a point in back-to-back games for the first time in his career (Nov. 29).
• Named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team.

2007-08 • Sophomore Year
• Played in 28 games, recording six points on one goal and five assists.
• Recorded a career-best two points on a goal and an assist in a win over RIT (Nov. 3).
• Also tallied assists against Holy Cross (Nov. 10), Mercyhurst (Dec. 1 and Feb. 29) and Sacred Heart (Feb. 2).
• Key member of the penalty kill unit that did not allow an extra-man goal for a school-record eight-straight games from Dec. 8 to Jan. 26.
• Led the team with 116 penalty minutes, the third-most in the program's Division I history.
• Named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team.

2006-07 • Freshman Year
• Played in 31 games, including 20 of the last 21 games of the season.
• Tallied first collegiate goal in a win against Holy Cross (Feb. 9).
• Also scored in a 4-2 victory at Air Force (Feb. 16).

Before Canisius
• Played for three years with the Weyburn Red Wings of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.
• Team won the 2005 Royal Bank Cup, awarded to the top amateur team in Canada.
• Posted 11 points in 52 games during 2005-06 to go along with 194 penalty minutes.
• Won the Most Inspirational Player award twice.
• Earned the team Community Service award in 2004.
