Biography

2005-06: Finished third on the team with nine goals and fifth with 16 points... Notched short-handed goal against Mercyhurst March 4... Named team’s assistant captain... Recorded two penalties the entire season... Had two power-play goals... One of four Griffs to play in all 35 games

2004-05: One of three Griffs to play in all 35 games during the season... Recorded a career-high three-point game in 6-0 win over American International Feb. 4... Notched a short-handed goal in 4-3 win over Mercyhurst Dec. 10 and a game-winning goal in 3-2 victory over Army Nov. 6... Named Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week for Dec. 13 after scoring two goals in a three-point weekend against Mercyhurst College

2003-04: Led the team in goals scored with 12 and tied for third in points with 18... Played in 29 games and recorded 72 shots on goal... Led the team with four power-play goals... Scored first collegiate goal in 2-2 draw with UMass Lowell Oct. 25... Posted five multi-point games... Named Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Week for Feb. 22 after scoring three goals in weekend sweep of Bentley and Sacred Heart... Scored game-winner in 3-2 overtime victory over Sacred Heart Feb. 21... Ranked 16th in Atlantic Hockey with 12 goals and 12th in freshman scoring

Before Canisius: Scored 10 goals and added 22 assists in 54 games as a member of the Chicago Freeze of the NAHL... Played three seasons at Williamsville North for former Golden Griffin Bob Rosen... Led the Spartans to back-to-back Western New York Hockey Federation championships in 2000 and 2001... Named All-Western New York First Team and Most Valuable Player in the WNYHF... Also played two seasons for the Buffalo Saints, winning New York State Championships in 2000 and 2001

Personal: The son of Bill and Katy Irish-Baker, Billy is a business major at Canisius... His younger brother Brandon is a senior on the team
