Dartmouth's Zori Brown had seven of her match-high 14 kills in the third set to help lead the visiting Big Green to a 3-1 victory over Canisius on the second day of the Canisius/UB Tournament, Friday night at the Koessler Athletic Center.

Dartmouth scored its first win of the 2026 season by set scores of 25-19, 20-25, 27-25, 25-9. The Golden Griffins fell to 0-5 on the year with the loss.

Canisius redshirt-junior Julia Lenik, junior Emma Isroff and sophomore Alli Farmer each had 10 kills for the Griffs on the night, while freshman setter Kenslie Warmbrodt matched a season-high with 26 assists to go along with two service aces and six digs. Senior libero Brenda Reynaga contributed a match-high 29 digs. 

The Griffs found themselves ahead of the Big Green early in the first set at 8-2, with three of Canisius' first eight points coming off service aces. Trailing 13-11 midway through the opening frame, Dartmouth used a 14-6 to take an early 1-0 lead in the match, with five of those 14 points coming off aces by Sophia Gagnepain and Brown.

In the second set, Canisius evened the match at 1-1 thanks to the trio of Lenik, Isroff and Farmer, who teamed to put down nine of the Griffs 14 kills en route to the 25-20 set victory. In that set, which featured eight ties and three lead changes, the Blue and Gold got back-to-back kills from senior Hannah Kos and Farmer to get the frame to set-point, and the Griffs ended up sealing the victory thanks to a Dartmouth attack error.

The third set of the night featured five ties. Canisius trailed 25-24 late in the frame, but evened the contest at 25-25 thanks to a kill by Isroff. However, Dartmouth would take control of the set moments later, as the Big Green took advantage of back-to-back Canisius attack errors to score the 27-25 victory and take a 2-1 lead in the match.

The fourth set saw Dartmouth hit .464 as a team, including five kills from sophomore Riley Imamura. The Big Green built an early lead and never looked back the way to a 25-9 set victory to cap off the night.
