Golf Announces 2026 Fall Schedule


FALL SCHEDULE
The Canisius golf team will take part in five fall events, starting Sept. 5, at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial tournament in Hamilton, N.Y., head coach Todd Hummel announced today.

In all, the Golden Griffins are set to play 13 rounds of golf during the 2026 fall campaign, with three events being 54-hole tournaments, and two outings featuring 36 holes. The Griffs' first tournament, the Alex Lagowitz Memorial, which is hosted by Colgate, is one of those 54-hole events. This will mark the seventh time Canisius has opened the fall season at Colgate's Seven Oaks Golf Course in Hamilton, N.Y., since 2014.

On Sept. 8, Canisius will travel south to Bartlett Country Club in Olean, N.Y., to take part in the 72nd edition of the Little Three Championship against long-time rivals Niagara and St. Bonaventure. The third-most played college golf tournament in the country, this year will mark the third time in event history where the Little Three has been played at Bartlett Country Club since 2019.

Canisius' final rounds in September will be Sept. 21-22, when the team takes part in the Temple Invitational at The 1912 Club in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. The month of October features two tournaments for the Blue and Gold, starting Oct. 4-5 when the team travels to take part in the Matthews Auto Collegiate, hosted by Binghamton, at the Links at Hiawatha in Apalachin, N.Y. The final fall tournament for Canisius will be Oct. 11-13 when the team plays in the Bucknell Invitational, a 54-hole event which features 18 holes on three consecutive days.
