Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women’s Soccer Edged by Quinnipiac

Addyson Earl scored the game's lone goal in the 70th minute and Olivia Jarvis stopped all eight shots she faced to lead Quinnipiac to a 1-0 victory over Canisius in Metro Conference women's soccer action Saturday at the Demske Sports Complex in downtown Buffalo.

Earl's first goal of the season proved to be the difference as the Bobcats (6-3-1, 4-2-0 Metro) earned the road victory despite being outshot by a 12-8 margin for the contest. Jarvis recorded a season-high eight stops to earn her second shutout of the season.

Freshman Alexa Turmel finished with four saves for the Golden Griffins (5-5-0, 2-3-0 Metro).

With the game scoreless and a little more than 20 minutes to play in regulation, Earl gave the Bobcats the lead as she worked her way through the Canisius defense before unleashing a shot at the top of the box that beat Turmel inside the left post.

The Griffs pushed for the equalizer in the final minutes, with senior Maggie Cregan registering a pair of opportunities on target, but Jarvis was up to the task to keep the Bobcats in the lead as they secured the one-goal victory.
