Track Competes in the AI Campbell Invitational

Senior Kyle Urban and sophomore Nathaniel Fisher led the way for the Griffs, turning in top-three finishes as the Canisius indoor track teams kicked off their 2025 season at the University of Akron AI Campbell Invite.

The men's 3000m saw five Griffs place in the top-15. Urban crossed the line in 8:28.47 to place second, while fellow Griff Fisher finished just behind him in third, clocking in at 8:32.35. Senior Brody Jones (8:42.68/6th), and sophomores Fenway Breckels (8:44.60/8th) and Adam Kozman (8:55.09/13th) rounded out the top five for Canisius.

Canisius also claimed a top-15 finish in the men's 800m as freshman Jaxyn Mahoney crossed the line in 1:57.31 to place 13th.

On the women's side, sophomore Clara Sundberg placed 11th in the women's 800m with a time of 2:27.12. Sophomore Ella Krumpek turned in a 18th place finish in the women's 3000m.

The Griffs return to action on January 24 as the team travels to Geneva, OH to compete at the SPIRE Midwest Open.
