Halted Softball Game to Resume April 28

In conjunction with the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), the Canisius and Quinnipiac softball programs announced today (April 10) that the halted league game between the Golden Griffins and the Bobcats will be resumed on Monday, April 28 at Quinnipiac Softball Field in Hamden, Conn.

The second game of Wednesday's (April 9) MAAC doubleheader was officially halted after the ninth inning, with the contest tied at 3-3.

Per the halted game rule, as specified in the MAAC Sport Administration agreement in the MAAC Manual, the game must be completed. Per the MAAC's ruling, Canisius will continue to serve as the home team, despite the game being resumed at Quinnipiac's home field. A game time will be announced when it becomes available.

The Canisius softball team will continue its 10-game MAAC homestand on Saturday, April 12, when the Griffs play host to Iona for a league doubleheader. Game one will begin at noon, and both games will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
