Women’s Soccer Battles to Scoreless Draw Versus Siena

Freshman keeper Chloe Tseros made six saves to pace Canisius in a 0-0 draw against Siena in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference women's soccer action Wednesday at the Demske Sports Complex in Buffalo.

Tseros recorded her second clean sheet of the season for the Golden Griffins (4-6-1, 4-2-1 MAAC). Cate Burns made three stops between the pipes for the Saints (5-4-6, 2-3-3 MAAC), who played to their four scoreless tie of the season.

Siena's Catherine Rogers had the two best chances of the first half, but both of her attempts found the crossbar. In the seventh minute, Rogers' header from the middle of the box on a cross from Maya Costa hit the woodwork before her shot from 10 yards out in the 25th minute once again hit the frame and remained in play.

Sophomore Azaria Fagan authored the best chance of the second half when she got behind the Siena defense in the 77th minute and fired a shot from the right side that Burns was able to push over the bar and keep the game scoreless.
