Four past and current members of the Canisius women's lacrosse program took part in the 2024 World Lacrosse Women's U20 Championship last month in Hong Kong, China.

Canisius Sports Hall of Famer Allison Daley '11, MS '13 served as head coach of Team Canada. Daley led the team to a 4-0 record in pool play before guiding the squad to the gold medal game against the United States.

Junior Briaunna D'Andrade also represented team Canada during their run to the championship game. The Whitby, Ontario native recorded six ground balls through seven games played.

Current Canisius head coach Russell Allen represented Puerto Rico, where he helped lead the team to a fifth-place finish, which marks its best placement in the organization's history. Puerto Rico finished second in pool play with a 3-1 record, notching wins over China, Israel, and Germany. Puerto Rico's only loss in pool play was to the eventual gold medal winning United States.

Former women's lacrosse student-athlete Ashley Bull served alongside Daley on the coaching staff for the course of the Championship as a High Performance Coordinator. Bull played five years for the Golden Griffins from 2013 to 2017, where she amassed 81 goals and 15 assists for 96 points as well as 123 ground balls.
